Weekly Snapshot: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market – Ratchaburi, Thailand

Day in and day out the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is routinely crowded with hundreds of local farmers and visitors floating in their small rowing boats selling, buying, or exchanging goods. Their goods typically include food, fruits, and vegetables that are mostly brought from their own orchards.  Some vendors have small establishments on the sides of the canals but most vendors travel and sell their goods on small rowing boats.

Nice picture. After all the years of going to Bangkok, can you believe I never made it here. I should plan a trip on my next BKK visit.

Thanks David! You definitely have to go. I was impressed by the way they manage to work everything from their little boats. Though I have to say, some things are slightly over-priced. But other than that, it’s a lovely place to visit.
