Hudson River at 14th st. – New York, NY
One of the things I enjoy the most during the weekends is walking aimlessly around the city. Sometimes its just a jog in Central Park, other days through some of the neighborhoods, and others along the waterfront. During the past couple decades, New York has done a great job in improving its waterfront quality and activities along the Hudson River and East River.
Still, even with all the improvements, redevelopments, and new landscape designs, there are a few spots where you can still see traces of the old piers that once populated the shores of this always active city. Among those are the wood pylons of the former piers, that now serve as standing posts for seagulls and other birds.
It’s always quite charming to look at these things and imagine what was there once.

Great capture!
Thanks Andi!
