Grand Central Terminal – Midtown, New York
Since it’s construction in 1871, much of the Grand Central Terminal Beaux-Arts facade in New York City is decorated with famous art statues and brilliant bronze and gold accents.
Outside the station, the clock in front of the Grand Central Terminal facade facing 42nd Street contains the world’s largest example of Tiffany glass and is surrounded by sculptures of Minerva, Hermes and Mercury.
At the time of its unveiling (1914), this sculpture by Jules-Felix Coutan was considered to be the largest sculptural group in the world. It is 48 feet (14.6 meters) high; the clock in the center has a circumference of 13 feet (4 meters).
In the 1960′s, this famous NYC landmark was nearly torn down, but with the help of first-lady Jacqueline Kennedy, it was designated as a historic American landmark.

Lovely photograph. The Grand Central Terminal is a fascinating piece of architecture.
